PlayStation State of Play airs today with Wolverine in the spotlight

PlayStation has the first big spotlight of June today, with State of Play airing on June 2 and promising more than 60 minutes of updates, announcements and gameplay reveals. The headline attraction is Marvel’s Wolverine, which makes sense because Insomniac’s next superhero game is one of the biggest PlayStation exclusives still waiting to fully show its claws.

The timing is important. Sony enters this showcase under real pressure: hardware pricing is high, live-service bets have been bruising and first-party output has looked thinner than fans expected.

A strong State of Play could reset the mood before Summer Game Fest takes over the week. A weak one would turn the internet into a theatre of sighing. Wolverine does not need to carry the whole show alone, but it does need to look sharp enough to remind players why PlayStation’s single-player reputation still matters.
