The Pokémon Company posts its best yearly numbers ever

The Pokémon Company has posted its best yearly financial results ever, which is the least surprising kind of record and still an impressive one. Pokémon is now less a franchise and more a global economic weather system: video games, mobile titles, trading cards, merchandise, animation, collaborations and enough Pikachu energy to power a city.

The timing also makes sense. Pokémon Champions has expanded the competitive battle lane, Pokémon TCG demand remains enormous, Switch and Switch 2 software keeps selling, and the broader brand keeps finding ways to stay culturally loud between major RPG releases.

The useful lesson is that Pokémon does not rely on one product line anymore. It is a multi-format machine. People may argue about graphics, balance, monetization or card availability, but the business result is brutally clear: Pokémon is still printing money with a smile.
