Pokémon game sales pass 515 million worldwide

Pokémon video game sales have now passed 515 million worldwide, because apparently catching them all also includes catching every sales milestone within reach. The Pokémon Company’s latest figures put the franchise at 515 million games sold, up from 489 million at the end of March 2025.

That means around 26 million Pokémon games were sold during the last fiscal year, with Pokémon Pokopia accounting for at least 4 million of those sales. The stat is absurd, but it also explains why Pokémon remains so powerful even when fans complain loudly about graphics, pricing, performance or the eternal question of why every region still has suspiciously tall grass.

The core loop still works: collect, battle, train, trade, repeat forever. With Pokémon Winds and Waves coming in 2027, the machine is not slowing down. It is merely charging another Hyper Beam.
