Police Simulator: Patrol Officers has a new Nintendo Switch 2 launch trailer, reminding everyone that not every video game fantasy needs dragons, demons or anime swords. Sometimes people simply want to patrol Brighton, issue tickets, respond to incidents and try not to accidentally become the most chaotic public servant in the city.

The Switch 2 version has been optimized for Nintendo’s new hardware and includes many of the gameplay improvements and updates released earlier on PC and other consoles. That makes it a more complete starting point for players who skipped earlier versions.

Simulation games often thrive on handheld systems because they work in short sessions: one patrol, one incident, one parking disaster. Switch 2 now has another practical sim for its growing library.
