Puppergeist adds Switch version and launches July 16

By GFA Staff · June 5, 2026

Puppergeist is coming to Switch, Xbox Series and PC on July 16, and the pitch is refreshingly specific: rhythm visual novel, ghost dog energy and emotional timing. Serenity Forge is publishing, and the newly announced Switch version makes a lot of sense because visual novels and rhythm-lite experiences fit handheld play beautifully.

Puppergeist is not trying to fight for attention with a giant open world or a hundred-hour campaign. It is aiming for a more focused mood, where story, music and timing create the hook.

That can be powerful when done right. Games built around grief, memory and supernatural companionship can either become sentimental mush or quietly devastating. The title alone suggests a gentler ghost story, but the rhythm angle could give it a stronger interactive pulse than a standard kinetic visual novel.
