Ragnarok Console Project announced for Switch 2

Ragnarok Console Project has been announced for Nintendo Switch 2, giving the long-running Ragnarok franchise another route into the console space. Gravity and Daewon Media are publishing the title, while development is being handled by Waycorder. The game is currently planned for 2027, so details are still early, but the name alone carries nostalgic weight.
Ragnarok Online helped define a certain era of MMO culture, especially in Asia, where its art style, job classes, social grind and music became part of online gaming memory. The challenge for Ragnarok Console Project is figuring out what that identity means on Switch 2. A console RPG cannot simply copy old MMO habits and expect magic to return.
It needs to capture the charm, class fantasy and social adventure while feeling modern enough for players who did not spend the 2000s grinding porings.
