Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has a new long gameplay trailer, and it looks like Asobo is pushing this prequel into more direct action territory. The footage shows Sophia as a playable character, combat-heavy sequences, a Theseus flashback and a monster encounter that suggests the Plague Tale universe is getting wider and stranger. That is risky, but potentially exciting.

A Plague Tale became powerful through vulnerability, stealth, rats and emotional pressure. Resonance seems more willing to give players tools and spectacle. The challenge is making sure the action does not flatten the series’ emotional identity.

If Asobo keeps the dread, intimacy and human cost intact, this could become a meaningful expansion of the world rather than just a louder spin-off.
