Rhythm Paradise Groove launches July 2 with Beatspell mode

Rhythm Paradise Groove launches July 2, giving Nintendo fans a new collection of rhythm microgames to make them feel either musically gifted or personally attacked. The game includes over 80 rhythm games for solo play and more than 30 for co-op and competitive multiplayer, with activities involving flying veggies, bouncing fruit off biceps, slicing arrows and plucking onion hair.

That is classic Rhythm Heaven energy: simple inputs, absurd setups and timing windows that slowly reveal whether you have rhythm or merely confidence. The new Beatspell mode adds a magical twist, letting players use rhythm to cast spells against monsters.

Tsunku is involved with the music, which matters because the series’ personality is inseparable from its audio. This is Nintendo weirdness in its pure form, and Switch 2 players can join even though the main release is on Switch.
