RuneScape: Dragonwilds reaches Switch 2 September 15

By GFA Staff · June 10, 2026

RuneScape: Dragonwilds arrives on Switch 2 on September 15, giving Nintendo’s new hardware another open-world survival-crafting title with a recognizable PC legacy attached.

The game sends players to Ashenfall, where they craft equipment, build refuges, cultivate farms, level up skills and unlock spells while preparing to challenge the Dragon Queen, Kuldra.

The Switch 2 version includes GameChat support and up to four-player co-op, which is smart because survival crafting is always better when friends are present to either help or accidentally burn through all the resources. RuneScape’s name gives Dragonwilds a strong fantasy identity, but the game still has to compete in a crowded survival genre. The key will be whether its magic, skills and building systems feel distinct rather than just another checklist in a pretty wilderness.
