Sacred 2 Remaster announced for Nintendo Switch

Sacred 2 Remaster is coming to Nintendo Switch, giving another old-school action RPG a chance to escape the dusty PC shelf and find a new handheld audience. The original Sacred 2 was sprawling, messy, ambitious and very much from the era when action RPGs were happy to drown players in loot, quests and questionable fantasy geography.

A remaster makes sense because the genre is still healthy, and Switch owners have proven repeatedly that they enjoy portable loot grinds. The important question is how much modernization THQ Nordic is actually bringing.

Resolution bumps are nice, but Sacred 2 needs interface comfort, performance stability and sensible controller support to work well on Switch. If the remaster cleans up the rough edges without sterilizing the old personality, it could become a surprisingly enjoyable nostalgia dungeon crawl.
