SAW: Genesis announced as a multiplayer horror game for PC

By GFA Staff · June 6, 2026

SAW: Genesis has been announced for PC, and honestly, multiplayer horror may be the most natural modern shape for the franchise. Saw has always been about traps, panic, moral pressure and people realizing far too late that the room has rules. A multiplayer structure can turn that into asymmetric tension, especially if one side controls hidden corridors, surveillance and traps while the other side tries to survive long enough to avoid becoming lesson material.

The risk is obvious: licensed horror games can easily become novelty products if the systems are not strong. But Saw’s mechanics-friendly premise gives it a better chance than most. Noise detection, hallucinogenic gas, hidden routes and rehabilitation traps all sound like systems that could create cruel little stories.

If SAW: Genesis balances dread and fairness, it could become a nasty streamer favorite.
