Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds reveals future DLC and SONIC PICO PARK

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is getting a pile of future collaboration DLC, and SEGA also announced SONIC PICO PARK, a licensed indie game from TECOPARK. ” That makes sense in the modern kart-racing landscape.

Mario Kart has become the gravitational center, so Sonic needs attitude, speed and guest content to keep the conversation going. SONIC PICO PARK is the more surprising part, because it suggests SEGA is comfortable letting smaller licensed projects play with Sonic in new formats.

If both efforts land, Sonic’s gaming footprint becomes broader without needing every project to be a giant 3D platformer.
