Space Marine 2 is adding a new class in Year 3

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is not done feeding the Emperor’s content machine. Focus Entertainment has confirmed that the game will add a new class during Year 3, with the class planned for the first half of 2027 and described as highly requested by the community.

That is exactly the kind of long-tail support Space Marine 2 needs. The campaign already sold the fantasy of being a walking cathedral with anger issues, but co-op and operations are where players keep returning.

A new class can change team composition, build variety and the rhythm of missions in a way that another skin or weapon alone cannot. Focus also says the class will get its own Champion Skin, which is a nice signal that the update is being treated as a proper addition rather than a tiny checkbox. For Warhammer fans, more armored violence is rarely bad news.
