Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 charges onto Switch 2 this winter

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is coming to Switch 2 this winter, and that is another heavy third-party test for Nintendo’s hardware. The game is built around giant armored soldiers, swarms of alien enemies and the kind of grimdark action where subtlety is considered suspicious.

Bringing that to Switch 2 is a strong statement from Focus and Saber. Space Marine 2 is not a cozy port.

It needs enemy density, melee impact, gunfire, co-op stability and enough performance to make all the chaos feel intentional rather than compromised. For Warhammer fans, portable Space Marine 2 has obvious appeal. For Nintendo, it adds a more aggressive action title to a library that is also filling with RPGs, family games and cozy sims. The Emperor, apparently, now travels handheld.
