Splatoon Raiders launches July 23 with its own Direct coming June 30

Splatoon Raiders is launching July 23, and Nintendo is giving it enough attention to deserve its own Direct on June 30. That is a strong signal that this is more than a small spin-off.

The game is a single-player focused Splatoon adventure set on the Spirhalite Islands, where players hunt treasure alongside Deep Cut, customize their look, deploy weapons and upgradeable gadgets, and battle Salmonids with a Deep Cut ally riding in an Exploration Bot. Nintendo is also setting up the story with official daily comics on the Nintendo Today app and tying the game into Splatoon 3 through a themed Splatfest.

That is smart franchise management: one new game, one existing community, one cross-media lead-in. Splatoon has always had style. Raiders needs to prove it can carry a full solo adventure too.
