Spyro: A Realm Beyond dev says fans helped make it happen

Spyro: A Realm Beyond is one of the happiest surprises of the week, and Toys for Bob is making it clear that fans played a real role in getting the purple dragon back. After years of studio uncertainty and a period where Toys for Bob was pushed heavily into Call of Duty support work, the developer eventually became independent.

Now it is bringing Spyro back with a new original adventure for modern platforms, including Switch 2. That matters because this is not just another nostalgia port.

Spyro fans have been asking for a real new game for years. A Realm Beyond now has to prove that the Reignited Trilogy was not the end of the comeback, but the runway.
