Star Wars Jedi’s Cal Kestis has more stories coming

Cal Kestis is apparently not done yet. New comments around Star Wars Jedi suggest that Lucasfilm still sees more stories ahead for the character, which should reassure fans who have grown attached to Respawn’s red-haired survivor of Order 66.

That matters because the Star Wars Jedi games have quietly become one of the better modern uses of the Star Wars license: focused action adventure, proper character growth, satisfying lightsaber combat and enough galaxy-hopping to feel big without turning into content soup. Cal works because he is not the most important person in the galaxy.

He is a survivor trying to stay human in a universe designed to crush him. More stories could mean another game, expanded media or both, but the key message is that Lucasfilm has not forgotten him. For Star Wars game fans, that is good news.
