Steam Deck OLED sells out again despite price hikes

Steam Deck OLED just pulled off the most annoying kind of flex: getting more expensive and still selling out. After Valve raised prices for the 512GB and 1TB OLED models due to rising memory and storage costs, the handheld reportedly flew off the shelves again within 24 hours of returning to sale.

That suggests demand for Valve’s portable PC remains extremely strong, even at a higher price point. It also creates an interesting hardware-market question.

Are players simply accepting that premium gaming hardware is getting more expensive, or is Valve managing stock so tightly that every batch looks like a stampede? Either way, Steam Deck remains one of the strongest handheld PC brands in the market. The only losers here are people who waited, refreshed the page, and then watched the buy button vanish like a rare boss drop.
