Stewart Copeland confirms he isn’t working on new Spyro

Composer Stewart Copeland has confirmed that he is not working on a new Spyro project, dampening recent rumors regarding a sequel or remake. The legendary musician, who composed the iconic soundtrack for the original PlayStation trilogy, addressed the speculation directly on social media. The statement has set expectations for fans hoping for a purple dragon comeback.

Speculation had been building after fans read too much into various social media posts and anniversary celebrations. While Copeland's involvement is ruled out, it does not completely eliminate the possibility of a new game being developed by another team, but it does suggest that any projects are not in active production.

Managing expectations is a common challenge in the gaming community, where rumor balloons can grow rapidly. Spyro the Dragon remains a beloved mascot, and fans will continue to hope for news regarding the franchise's future. For now, collectors can revisit the remastered trilogy.
