Summer Game Fest 2026 floods June with world premieres

Summer Game Fest 2026 did what Summer Game Fest is supposed to do: throw so many trailers at the internet that everyone’s backlog started filing a formal complaint. After Sony’s huge State of Play earlier in the week, Geoff Keighley’s show had to prove it could still own the broader cross-platform conversation.

It did that with a very wide spread: Resident Evil Veronica, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Alien Isolation 2, Blood Message, Guild Wars 3, 007 First Light updates, Hitman remasters, Monster Hunter news, Hot Wheels, Mafia DLC and a mountain of smaller reveals. The strongest thing about the show was not one single headline.

It was the density. June suddenly looks less like a quiet pre-GTA 6 waiting room and more like a release-calendar traffic jam with neon lighting.
