Yoshi holds off Pokémon Pokopia on Switch 2 eShop chart

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is holding the top spot on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop chart for May 24, staying ahead of Pokémon Pokopia. That is a nice early win for Nintendo’s green dinosaur, especially because Pokémon usually has enough brand gravity to squash almost anything in its path.

The chart also shows Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition entering the top ten, which is a useful sign for third-party support on the new system. Switch 2’s early eShop behavior matters because it tells us what players are actually buying once the launch-window excitement starts settling.

Big Nintendo characters still dominate, of course, but ports and RPGs can carve out real space if the audience trusts the hardware and performance. For now, Yoshi is doing exactly what Nintendo needed: keeping a first-party exclusive visibly alive after launch week.
