Switch 2 enters Direct day with third-party momentum already strong

Nintendo Direct day begins with Switch 2 already carrying much stronger third-party momentum than many skeptics expected. In the last few days alone, the platform has been linked to Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster, Monster Hunter Wilds, Valheim, Sea of Stars, Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush, Crazy Taxi: World Tour, Spyro: A Realm Beyond, Thief: The Dark Project Remastered and more.

That matters because Nintendo’s own first-party calendar still needs clarity, but the third-party shelf is filling quickly. Switch 2 cannot survive on Nintendo magic alone, especially at a higher hardware price.

It needs big RPGs, family games, indies, retro remasters, survival hits and sports support. The Direct now has a better setup: Nintendo does not need to prove third parties care. It needs to show what Nintendo itself has next.
