Narrative enthusiasts in the League of Legends universe received exciting new material today with the arrival of Tales of 2XKO, a story-driven feature integrated directly into The Climb via Riot Games Patch 1.3.1.
Players selecting designated Point champions—including newly added Lux, spectral chain-warden Thresh, and the Redeemer Senna—will now encounter episodic story interactions, rival banter, and comic-style vignettes between gauntlet rounds. While it stops short of a conventional standalone campaign, Tales offers canonical personality clashes, exploring humor, rivalry, and camaraderie across Runeterra's diverse cast.
For players drawn to 2XKO through character fandom and rich worldbuilding rather than frame-perfect competitive inputs alone, Tales injects welcome personality into every run. Riot has indicated that future patches will expand the roster of participating champions. Explore lore recaps on [/news](/news) and read story updates on [/release-radar](/release-radar).
