Tarkov console hint found on Icebreaker map

Escape from Tarkov’s console version has been discussed for ages, and now players have found a cheeky new hint inside the Icebreaker map. The reference reportedly nods to the idea of Tarkov coming to other platforms through a retro console gag, echoing an old joke from Battlestate’s Nikita Buyanov that Tarkov would come to Game Boy before modern consoles.

That is funny, but it also matters because Battlestate has openly said a console version is in production in some form. The community still does not know what that means.

A full Tarkov console port? A lighter version? A separate experience built around the same extraction fantasy? Tarkov’s interface, controls and brutal pacing were born on PC, so bringing it to console is not a simple copy-paste job. Icebreaker may be joking, but the question behind it is real.
