Total War: Warhammer 40,000 teases major PC Gaming Show announcement

Total War: Warhammer 40,000 has sent out another grim little signal from the far future, and this one looks very much like a countdown. Creative Assembly’s latest teaser points to the Minerva System, Orks causing trouble in the Armageddon subsector and an Imperial response that sounds about as subtle as a tank through a cathedral wall.

The interesting part is the timing. The teaser reportedly ends with a message about the next transmission being scheduled in 17 cycles, which lines up neatly with the PC Gaming Show on June 7 if one cycle equals one day. That makes a release date, gameplay breakdown or broader campaign reveal feel very possible.

This is also a bigger deal than a normal Total War update because Warhammer 40,000 takes Creative Assembly into a very different tactical and visual space. Fantasy battles are one thing. Bolters, Orks, Imperial war machines and planetary war are another. If the studio can translate 40K’s brutal scale into Total War structure, this could become one of the most important strategy reveals of the summer.
