Unrailed 2: Back on Track launches today across PS5, Switch 2, Switch and PC, giving co-op players another chance to discover which of their friends should never be trusted near wood, stone or moving deadlines. The formula is still brilliantly direct: build track ahead of a moving train, gather resources, avoid disaster and try not to turn cooperation into a heated workplace incident.
The sequel’s wider platform spread and Switch 2 presence are especially useful because Unrailed works beautifully as both couch chaos and online teamwork. The best co-op games create stories through tiny failures, and few things create tiny failures like someone placing a track piece in the wrong direction while everyone screams.
If Back on Track keeps that escalating panic sharp, it could be one of today’s best multiplayer pickups.
