Vampire Survivors is getting a native Nintendo Switch 2 version

By GFA Staff · June 7, 2026

Vampire Survivors is getting a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version, which is exactly the kind of thing that sounds unnecessary until you remember how absurdly successful the game has been on Switch. The original Switch version already works on Switch 2 through backwards compatibility, but Poncle is now building a native version for the new hardware.

That could mean better performance, sharper visuals, cleaner interface behavior or simply a more future-proof base for updates and DLC. Vampire Survivors is one of those games where tiny improvements matter because the entire screen eventually becomes a fireworks accident with skeletons.

If Switch 2 can make that chaos smoother, players will notice. The bigger story is that Poncle keeps treating Vampire Survivors like an evolving platform rather than a finished joke that accidentally became huge.
