Where Winds Meet reveals ghostly Gilded Lament world boss

Where Winds Meet is not done showing off strange things hiding behind palace walls. The latest trailer for The Imperial Palace expansion introduces The Gilded Lament, a ghostly new world boss who attacks with poetry scrolls, spectral energy and a very strong sense that therapy was not available in ancient Kaifeng.

The expansion is already being pitched as a major content drop, with a huge playable space, thousands of NPCs and plenty of side activity chaos, but a proper boss reveal gives it more mechanical weight.

This is important because Where Winds Meet needs to prove that its wuxia open-world structure can keep delivering memorable threats rather than just beautiful scenery and martial-arts sightseeing. The Imperial Palace arrives on May 28 for PS5, PC, iOS and Android. If The Gilded Lament is as stylish in combat as she is in concept, players may have a good reason to return before the summer showcase storm begins.
