Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember announced for early 2027

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is official, and Team NINJA is returning to its fantasy version of late Eastern Han China with more martial-arts brutality. The sequel is coming in early 2027 to Xbox and PC with Game Pass and Play Anywhere support.

That is good timing because the original Wo Long built a strong following among players who like their action RPGs fast, punishing and very interested in parry timing. The new game promises evolved Chinese martial arts combat, large battlefields and a mix of human and demonic enemies.

The question is whether Team NINJA can improve encounter variety and build depth while keeping the sharp rhythm that made the first game satisfying. Also, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty joining Game Pass today is a smart move. It gives newcomers a reason to catch up before the sequel starts kicking them into the dirt.
