World of Tanks Blitz Begins Origin: 1916 Event With Mark I Male
World of Tanks Blitz begins its Origin: 1916 event today alongside the arrival of Equalizer mode. Running from September 11 through September 21, the event gives players an opportunity to obtain the Mark I Male, representing one of the earliest combat tanks in military history. Its inclusion provides an unusual contrast with World of Tanks Blitz's large collection of later historical vehicles, prototypes and fictional machines. The event forms part of the game's current update cycle, which also introduces a new Japanese superheavy branch topped by the Type 5 Heavy Zetsu and additional interface and vehicle-information improvements.
The event uses victories in Tier IV–X vehicles to award Lanterns, which advance players through the event stages. The regional schedule differs by server, and the official event page notes that event currencies are removed after the event ends, so the published dates matter for anyone chasing the final reward.
