Xbox Games Showcase takes over June 7 with Gears of War: E-Day Direct

Xbox gets its big Summer Game Fest week moment today with the Xbox Games Showcase, followed immediately by a dedicated Gears of War: E-Day Direct. The main showcase is scheduled for June 7 at 10 AM PT, 1 PM ET, 6 PM UK and 7 PM CEST, which means Europe gets a very convenient evening of trailers, release dates and carefully managed hype.

The dedicated Gears segment matters because The Coalition has kept E-Day relatively quiet since the reveal, and fans are hungry for actual gameplay, not just emotional flashbacks to younger Marcus and Dom. Xbox needs this show to land.

After years of mixed messaging, studio delays and platform strategy confusion, a strong games-first showcase would do more than any executive interview. It would simply remind people why they bought into Xbox in the first place.
