Xbox outlines its ‘Next 100 Days’ reset plan

Xbox leadership has published a staff memo titled around the next 100 days, and the language suggests Microsoft knows its gaming division is at an inflection point. The memo reportedly frames the situation as a reset period, with Xbox trying to balance hardware realities, Game Pass value, exclusive strategy, multiplatform reach and revenue pressure.

That is a lot of plates to spin while players mostly just want good games, fair prices and clear messaging. The timing is notable because the recent Xbox showcase finally delivered the kind of games-first confidence fans had been asking for.

But a strong showcase does not solve business fundamentals. Xbox now has to prove that the next 100 days are not just internal language, but a visible strategy: clearer releases, fewer mixed signals, and a platform identity that makes sense again.
