Coffee Talk Tokyo gets physical Switch and Switch 2 release
Coffee Talk Tokyo is getting physical editions on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Retail listings point to a September 4, 2026 physical release distributed by PM Studios, while the digital version is still expected later this month after an earlier delay. The Switch 2 version is notable because it will come on a full cartridge rather than a game-key card. That detail matters to collectors and preservation-minded players who dislike physical boxes that still require a download to function. Coffee Talk Tokyo continues the cozy drink-making and conversation-driven formula of the previous games, moving the café setting to Tokyo and welcoming humans, yokai and other fantasy customers. New characters include Kenji, a kappa salaryman looking for meaning after retirement; Vin, the barista’s assistant dealing with a fractured past; and Ayame, a recently deceased socialite trying to understand her afterlife. For players who love lo-fi storytelling, emotional conversations and slow-burn character writing, the physical edition gives Coffee Talk Tokyo a more collectible presence on Nintendo hardware.
