Pocketpair files Palworld Online trademarks in the US and South Korea
Pocketpair has filed trademarks for Palworld Online in the United States and South Korea, and that immediately raises questions about the survival hit’s next step. Palworld already supports online multiplayer through four-player personal co-op sessions and 32-player dedicated servers, so the trademark could simply be new branding for existing or expanded multiplayer features. It could also be tied to the game’s planned version 1.0 release, which remains expected in 2026. There is no official announcement yet, so players should treat this as a signal rather than confirmation of a new standalone game. Still, the name is interesting because “Online” branding often suggests a more defined live-service or persistent-multiplayer identity, similar to how other open-world games separate their main experience from online infrastructure. Palworld has been quiet compared with its explosive Early Access launch, but a 1.0 push could bring renewed attention. The big question is whether Pocketpair plans a larger multiplayer revamp, clearer server structure or simply a marketing name for what already exists.
