Lies of P sequel enters full-scale development
The Lies of P sequel has officially moved into full-scale development. NEOWIZ confirmed the update in its Q1 2026 earnings materials, saying the project has passed the prototype stage. That is good news for fans who have been waiting for a clearer signal since director Choi Ji-won confirmed the sequel’s existence. The original Lies of P became one of the most successful non-FromSoftware Soulslike releases, helped by its sharp combat, dark Belle Époque setting, Pinocchio-inspired world and strong post-launch expansion, Overture. The sequel still does not have a formal title, release window or gameplay reveal, but full-scale development means production is ramping up rather than remaining in concept limbo. NEOWIZ also highlighted ROUND8’s narrative strengths, which matters because Lies of P’s world succeeded partly because it had more identity than many Soulslike imitators. For players, expectations will be high. The sequel needs to expand the formula without losing the tight weapon feel, defensive timing and unsettling atmosphere that made the first game stand out.
