Nintendo has introduced a new Switch 2 hardware bundle through its official United Kingdom store, combining the console with Mario Kart World and several accessories at a substantial discount. The package became available on October 29 for £459.99, compared with a combined individual retail value of approximately £593.95 across Nintendo Switch 2.

The bundle includes a Nintendo Switch 2 console, a digital copy of Mario Kart World, the official Switch 2 Camera, a 256GB SanDisk MicroSD Express memory card and three months of Nintendo Switch Online. The resulting saving is approximately £133.96. The offer is particularly interesting because Nintendo increased the standard UK price of Switch 2 to £419.99 in September.

Under the new pricing structure, the bundle effectively adds a major game, additional storage, a camera and a subscription for approximately £40 beyond the console's standalone price. That represents a relatively aggressive promotional approach for hardware that remains comparatively early in its commercial lifespan. However, the offer is specific to the UK market, and equivalent packages have not necessarily been announced elsewhere.

Nintendo's strategy may reflect a desire to encourage broader adoption ahead of the important holiday shopping period. Additional storage is particularly relevant because modern digital games can require substantial installation space. Mario Kart World also provides an immediately recognisable multiplayer attraction for new console owners. Nintendo has traditionally maintained relatively firm hardware pricing. The new bundle suggests that the company has discovered a useful alternative to cutting the console's headline price: simply surrounding it with enough extras that the original number becomes considerably more attractive.
