Battlefield 6 Season 3 update adds new Battle Pass, Ranked REDSEC Quads and Railway to Golmud
Battlefield 6 is about to get one of its biggest 2026 updates. EA has detailed Game Update 1.3.1.0, which arrives on May 12 and kicks off Season 3 with Railway to Golmud, new weapons, a new Battle Pass and major REDSEC changes. The biggest competitive addition is Ranked Battle Royale Quads, giving REDSEC players a proper ladder structure from Rookie upward. EA is also adding broader mission-flow improvements, Loot Detection changes, Anti-Vehicle Drops, scoring adjustments and downed-state tuning to make Battle Royale matches clearer and more consistent. For classic Battlefield players, Railway to Golmud is the emotional hook. Battlefield 4’s Golmud Railway remains one of the series’ most beloved large-scale maps, and bringing that spirit into Battlefield 6 is a clear attempt to win back players who felt earlier content was too cramped or unfocused. The update also introduces Battlefield Pro, a premium Battle Pass expansion with tier skips, XP boosts, instant unlocks and extra challenge rerolls. Whether that lands well depends on value and balance. The content looks strong, but Battlefield players are famously sensitive when progression starts feeling too commercial.
