Dead as Disco roadmap promises infinite disco upgrades, new boss and 1.0 in 2027

Dead as Disco is now in Early Access, and Brain Jar Games has started laying out what comes next. The roadmap promises a busy development path, including infinite disco upgrades, a new boss this summer and a full 1.0 launch target in 2027. For players, this matters because stylish action games can look exciting at launch but need systems depth to survive. Dead as Disco’s biggest opportunity is to make its music-driven brawler identity more than just presentation. New bosses, upgrade variety and long-term progression could help turn it into a game players revisit instead of simply admire in clips. Early Access also gives the studio room to tune combat, pacing, difficulty and build variety based on community feedback. The risk is always the same: players want a clear sense of momentum and visible progress. If Brain Jar can keep the dance floor active with meaningful updates, Dead as Disco could build a loyal niche before its full release.
