Ubisoft pushes back on leaked Assassin’s Creed Invictus screenshot

Ubisoft has taken the unusual step of publicly responding to a leaked image tied to Assassin’s Creed Invictus, the company’s upcoming multiplayer Assassin’s Creed project. The screenshot was posted by a known Assassin’s Creed leaker and claimed to show material from a private test. The official Assassin’s Creed account replied that the image may have started as a private-test screenshot, but had been heavily altered, most likely with AI, and said it was not helpful to spread misinformation. For players, the important point is that Invictus is real and still in development at Ubisoft Montreal, but the exact look and structure of the game remain uncertain. Ubisoft has previously described it as a new approach to multiplayer within the franchise, shaped through testing and player feedback. The leak drama only reinforces how much curiosity surrounds the project. Assassin’s Creed multiplayer could be exciting, but Ubisoft will need to explain it clearly before rumors define expectations.
