Devil of the Plague enters Early Access with plague doctors, rituals and co-op horror

Devil of the Plague enters Early Access today, giving PC players another new horror option for the start of May. Developed and published by SoulByte Games, the Steam listing describes it as an action, adventure, indie and strategy title launching as a work in progress. The developer’s Early Access notes are unusually clear about the plan: the current version already includes the core gameplay experience, multiple maps, ritual-based objectives and solo or co-op play.
Future updates are intended to add maps, rituals, enemy variety, progression improvements and deeper co-op systems. The studio expects Early Access to last roughly six to twelve months. For players, that matters because Devil of the Plague is not being sold as finished. It is a game for people who enjoy getting involved early, testing systems, giving feedback and watching a horror game grow over time.
The concept of plague doctors, alchemy, rituals and demonic threats gives it a strong visual hook, but Early Access success will depend on whether the loop becomes clearer and more replayable. If SoulByte can refine the chaos into structured tension, this could become a stronger co-op horror experience by full release.
