Gothic III Classic heads to Switch 2 in November

THQ Nordic is continuing its Gothic revival on Nintendo hardware. Gothic III Classic, originally released in 2006, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on November 24, 2026. The game will be priced at 29.99 euros or regional equivalent. This follows the earlier releases of Gothic Classic and Gothic II Classic Complete on the original Switch, making the third entry a natural next step for players who want the full classic trilogy on Nintendo systems. Gothic III has always been an ambitious but divisive open-world RPG, remembered for its scale, faction choices and rough edges. Bringing it to Switch 2 gives THQ Nordic a chance to package it for a new audience that may be more forgiving of older RPG design if the port runs cleanly. For fans of Piranha Bytes’ particular style—dangerous worlds, limited handholding and faction-driven progression—this is a welcome preservation move. The Switch 2 library continues to become an interesting home for revived PC RPGs.
