Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era enters Early Access on PC

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era enters Early Access today, and that is a major moment for PC strategy fans who grew up with the series. Developed by Unfrozen and published by Hooded Horse, the game is positioned as an official prequel that returns to the roots of the turn-based strategy franchise.
The Steam listing describes strategic empire building, tactical battles and RPG mechanics, while Unfrozen’s own release news highlights six available factions, city building, powerful artifacts and solo or multiplayer play. There is also a 25 percent Early Access launch discount for the first two weeks.
The reason this matters is simple: Heroes of Might and Magic has been quiet for a long time, yet its formula still has a very loyal audience. Exploring maps, gathering resources, building towns, recruiting armies and resolving battles on tactical grids remains an extremely satisfying loop when executed well. Olden Era is one of the most important launches of April for fans of classic PC strategy.
