Star Wars: Galactic Racer locks in October 6 launch and opens pre-orders

Star Wars: Galactic Racer now has a confirmed release date, and racing fans can circle October 6, 2026 on the calendar. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with pre-orders now open. The official site frames the game around the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit born in the lawless Outer Rim after the fall of the Empire.
Players step into the role of Shade, a racer chasing revenge and glory through a story-driven campaign and competitive race structure. What makes the pitch interesting is the vehicle variety. The site mentions landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders and podracers, each with distinct physics and playstyles. That immediately gives the game more room than a straight pod-racing revival.
VGC also reports several editions, including digital Standard and Deluxe Editions and a physical Collector’s Edition. For gamers, this is one of the more commercially interesting licensed releases on the 2026 calendar. Star Wars racing has nostalgia behind it, but Galactic Racer needs to prove it can stand as a modern arcade racer, not just a reference to an old favourite.
