Menace from the Deep: Complete Edition announced for Switch
Menace from the Deep: Complete Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 14. Feardemic and Flat Lab’s roguelike deckbuilder is set in a myth-soaked 1920s version of the United States, pulling from Cthulhu-inspired horror, secret societies, memory fragments and sanity pressure. The Complete Edition includes The Rift of Sanity DLC, adding extra content to the package for Switch players. The game offers four playable heroes, including The Abomination, each with a unique deck and fighting style. Players build strategies through cards, relics, allies, inventory items and upgrades while trying to survive repeated runs through a grim occult world. For Switch owners, this is a good genre fit. Deckbuilders work well in handheld play because they are readable, session-friendly and can be picked up for short runs. The big question is whether Menace from the Deep can stand out in a crowded roguelike card-game field. Its Lovecraftian setting, sanity angle and complete package give it a decent hook, especially at a $19.99 digital price.
