NAMAKORIUM leaves Early Access on May 19 with chaotic co-op sea-cucumber RTS action
NAMAKORIUM will leave Early Access and launch fully on PC via Steam on May 19. Developed by Polyscape, the game is a chaotic cooperative real-time strategy title for up to four players, starring sea cucumbers left behind by humanity to clean up polluted oceans. That premise alone makes it one of the stranger strategy games on the calendar. Players command different types of Namakos, gather resources, build structures, clear paths and race against time before food runs out. Each Namako has its own role, from mining to surviving extreme temperatures, while corrupted Blight Namako can appear and threaten the whole cleanup operation. The game also includes more than 40 scenic creatures to collect as players restore the ocean. For co-op fans, this could be a fun alternative to more serious strategy games because success seems to depend on planning, role assignment and laughing when the plan collapses. The environmental cleanup theme gives it charm, while the frantic RTS structure gives it pressure. If the full launch adds enough variety, NAMAKORIUM could become a neat co-op curiosity.
