NOIR BLOOM announced as a 2D gun-fu action game
NOIR BLOOM has been announced for PC, and its pitch is pure action: high-speed 2D gun-fu in a dangerous city called Kow Wing. Developer HONKI Games describes the game as a lone charge into the dragon’s den, with players taking the role of the White Wraith and mixing gunfights, close combat, enemy disarms and stylish movement. The phrase “gun-fu” is doing a lot of work here, but it is also a useful promise. Players will expect fluid transitions between shooting, melee attacks, dodging and using enemies’ own weapons against them. The challenge is animation readability. Fast 2D action can become messy if enemies, bullets and player movement blur together, so NOIR BLOOM will need strong visual clarity to match its style. The 2027 window means it is still early, but the concept has immediate appeal for fans of games that feel like John Woo, Hotline Miami and side-scrolling character action colliding. If the controls are sharp, this could be a very stylish PC action release.
