Forza Horizon 6 appears to leak online ahead of launch
Forza Horizon 6 has hit an ugly pre-launch speed bump. The PC version of Playground Games’ highly anticipated open-world racer appears to have leaked online ahead of its May 19 release, with VGC reporting that pirated copies and gameplay footage have already begun circulating. The leading theory is that a pre-loaded Steam backend build was uploaded without encryption, allowing certain users to access the files and crack the game before release. Microsoft has not yet commented, and VGC says it has not downloaded the build, but the screenshots, videos and troubleshooting chatter online suggest the leak is real enough to cause concern. For players, the obvious advice is simple: do not touch it. Besides the legal and account-risk problems, early leaked builds are often unstable, incomplete or missing launch-day fixes. For Microsoft, this is frustrating timing. Forza Horizon 6 is one of its biggest 2026 releases, finally taking the series to Japan after years of fan requests. The game is due for Premium Edition early access on May 15 and full launch on May 19.
