Pokemon Pokopia leads the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop charts

Pokemon Pokopia is currently leading the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop chart, showing once again how powerful the Pokemon brand remains even when it moves outside traditional mainline RPG territory. The May 3 chart places Pokemon Pokopia at number one, ahead of Mario Kart World in second place and Kirby Air Riders in third. For players, the chart is useful because it gives an early read on what Switch 2 owners are actually buying or pre-ordering digitally. Familiar Nintendo brands dominate, but there is also movement from titles like Inkonbini, which appears just outside the all-games top ten and inside the download-only chart. That tells us Switch 2’s eShop is not only a home for giant franchises, even if those franchises naturally take the top spots. For developers, early chart visibility on a new console can be valuable because player libraries are still forming. For consumers, the takeaway is that Switch 2’s digital storefront is already becoming competitive, with Nintendo’s own brands, third-party ports and smaller indie titles fighting for attention.
