Spooky Spirit Shooting Gallery gets Switch 2 Edition in Japan
Spooky Spirit Shooting Gallery is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition in Japan on August 6. Nippon Columbia’s ghost-themed shooting gallery game is built around local multiplayer, carnival-style target shooting and party-game minigames. The Switch 2 version adds local GameShare and online GameShare support through GameChat, which should make it easier for groups to play together without everyone needing a full copy. That is a smart fit for a casual shooting-gallery game. These titles are at their best when they are easy to pass around, simple to understand and instantly chaotic with friends or family. The Japanese physical release will reportedly use a game-key card, while the digital version will also be available. This is not a global blockbuster announcement, but it does show how smaller family-friendly games are beginning to adapt to Switch 2’s sharing and communication features. If the platform wants to maintain Nintendo’s party-game strength, these smaller releases matter alongside Mario Kart, Pokémon and Splatoon.
