Vultures: Scavengers of Death launches on Steam

Vultures: Scavengers of Death launches today on Steam, offering a tactical survival-horror take on the extraction fantasy. Developed by Team Vultures and published by Firesquid and Gamersky Games, the game sends VULTURE operatives into an infested metropolis to scavenge resources, complete missions and survive long enough to get out. The tone is deliberately retro, with a PS1-inspired aesthetic and design nods to 1990s horror classics. The difference is structure. Instead of pure fixed-camera survival horror, Vultures uses turn-based tactical decision-making, limited resources and extraction pressure. That gives it a neat hook: every move matters because ammunition, health and positioning can collapse quickly. Players follow characters such as Leopoldo and Amber across missions where the city itself becomes a hostile board. For horror fans tired of first-person jump-scare loops, this could offer something slower and more strategic. The challenge will be pacing. Tactical horror needs tension between turns, not just numbers on a grid. If Vultures manages that, it could become a strong PC cult pick.
